Should Sandwiches be cut
Straight?
OR
Diagonal?
Cutting a sandwich diagonally is honestly the superior move, and here’s why—from a Gen Z perspective, obviously. First off, it just looks better. Like, tell me a diagonal sandwich doesn’t serve ✨aesthetic✨. It gives café vibes, not sad lunchbox energy. You post that on your story and people are gonna assume you have your life together—even if it’s literally just PB&J.
Second, the bite experience is unmatched. The corners make it easier to hold and eat without everything falling apart. You get less crust in one go and more of the good stuff in every bite. Straight cuts just don’t deliver that kind of flavor geometry.
Also, there’s a weird comfort in diagonal cuts—it’s giving childhood lunch nostalgia, back when your mom or dad used to put a little extra love into your sandwich. It's cozy. It’s cute. It’s ✨emotional support food✨.
Cutting straight down? That’s for robots, cafeteria trays, or people who fold pizza with a fork and knife. Be fr.
